Anime Reviews: Gakuen Heaven

Ever wanted to see a very cute anime that is Yaoi but not hard core? I give you Gakuen Heaven. I love it. The animation quality remains the same through out all 13 episodes and if you aren't dancing to the theme song by the end of the second episode (if you even get that far) then you can't enjoy good anime.

It is corny but it's a feel good happy ending anime that you don't get very often. There are tons of hurt/comfort scenes between the main character Keita and his friend Kazuki.


General Summary:

Romance is sparked at an all boy's school called Bell Liberty. An out of season transfer by the name of Keita appears and fireworks start.

Anime Reviews: Fake

One of the first hardcore Anime/Manga Yaoi Series I ever read. o.O; LOL The amazing part of this series is that it actually takes place in a New York Precinct. Watch too much Law and Order then read this and gets interesting *coughs*.

The main characters are Dee and Ryou (who if you watch Ronin Warriors it gets very weird while reading it). Ryou is Japanese by blood and comes to NYC to get a job. Dee falls in love with Ryou and it's a crazy love circle.

Anime Review: Loveless

I am fairly new to this anime but I was excited because it was short and I'm a fan of cat boys. xD This anime is so close to being "wrong" it's ridiculous. In this world children don't become adults until they have sex and their ears fall off. So there are tons of young adults and teens alike who are still virgins running around with cat ears and tails. The main character is a 15 year old named Ritsuka and he has lost his brother to a group called Seven Moons. You never figure out why exactly his brother was killed but you get a general idea (for which I will let you figure out for yourself). The first episode we are introduced to Soubi, Ritsuka's brother's friend who has randomally appeared to proclaim his love to Ritsuka (yes the man is basically being a pedophile O.o;  don't ask, I said this anime was weird). Ritsuka's brother's name is Seimei and he died before he lost his ears. We find out later that Soubi was Seimei's fighter. And he came back to protect Ritsuka.

The general idea of this anime is the wars using magic and two people: Sacrifice and Fighter. Ritsuka is a Sacrifice and Soubi is a fighter. You get the idea that the fighters are typically controlled by the sacrifice. Either way the missed hurt/comfort between Soubi and Ritsuka is so painful. lol. My friend says the Manga has more to it, I hope so. I am reading that now as I write this.

There is a lot of boy kissing on this anime but that's it as far as Shounen Ai is concerned. The Animation is great and stays the same throughout all the episodes. I love Ritsuka's voice and Soubi's is a nice match.

Over All I give this anime a 10 (out of 10).

Anime Review: Okane Ga Nai

Summary: Yukiya Ayase is a gentle, kind hearted, and innocent university student. The only relative he has left, his cousin Tetsuo, betrays Ayase by selling him to the highest bidder in an auction with hopes of making an enormous profit to be able to pay off his debts. Somuku Kanou, a bad-tempered (though very rich) loan shark, comes to Ayase's rescue and buys Ayase for an impressive 1.2 billion. Kanou apparently knows Ayase from something that happened between them in the past, but Ayase cannot remember who Kanou is nor does he understand why he "saved" him. In a desperate effort to keep Ayase close to him, Kanou demands the debt be repaid in full and suggests the perfect way to do it: by selling his body to Kanou for 500,000 each time. Ayase is horrified in the beginning, but something soon begins to grow between them that can't be bought for any price.

My review: I liked it. I love the hopeless ukes who need their semes to care for them. Given this seme's a jerk ...he still cares to an extent. This is another messed up yaoi but it's still good and worth it. It's also a bit older so be prepared for the 90s anime music.

Anime Review: Papa to Kiss in the Dark

Summary: Munakata Mira is in love with his father, famous Hollywood actor Munakata Kyousuke. Unknown to the public, both of them are father and son as well as lovers. When Mira turns 15 and enters high school, he faces trouble with his childhood friend falling in love with him. Also, the fact that Kyousuke is not his biological father only depresses him further. Then there is also the problem of Kyousuke probably marrying Mira's senior's mother, whose son seems to have an interest in Mira.

My Opinion: This was a hilarious movie...sort of half way "wrong" but once you watch Yaoi and Shonen Ai, nothing surprises you anymore. It's not as wrong as Pico though so you're safe there. :)

I wish there had been more to it though, I really did like it.
